Bonalive joins Go Blue Campaign

November 12, 202110:46

Bonalive’s vision is to enable a world where infections can be treated without antibiotics. For this reason we are going blue for antimicrobial resistance (AMR) on November 24, joining the World Health Organization’s awareness campaign for the fifth year in a row.

Go Blue Campaign

WHO has initiated a color campaign “Go Blue for AMR” where individuals, workplaces, and communities are invited to join to spread awareness of AMR during World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW). Bonalive will join the campaign by illuminating its Global Headquarters in blue in Turku, Finland on November 24, 3pm – 9pm.

Follow Bonalive on Linkedin to join our efforts in spreading awareness on antimicrobial resistance during WAAW 2021. Join us by sharing WAAW content online and by posting your own content as well.

About AMR

AMR is a global health issue, which involves not only humans but also plants and animals. New, more effective antibiotics and new principles in educating, preventing and treating infections are urgently needed to curb AMR.

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR)
occurs when microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites change in ways that render the medications used to cure the infections they cause ineffective (WHO)

Bonalive’s mission is to advance the world’s transition to sustainable solutions for infections. In the future, we see ourselves enabling a world where infections are treated without antibiotics.
